The best way to add value to a site is to add a members-only area requiring registration. Content can then be targeted to the members and social media such as forums, avatars, chatrooms and blogs added for members. Registration sites are also good for wholesale eCommerce where special pricing is assigned to each client. Below are examples of members-only sites:
AutoTrim
Designer: Web Prodigy
This client is a retailer of auto parts and sells both to the public and to auto customizing businesses. They wanted an application that would allow customization of pricing and products available for their special clients, as well as a public interface with marked up pricing. This project was unusual because of the level of customization needed for individual customers, including special pricing per product and customer and also site-wide sales.
LogoGirlz
Designer: Web Prodigy
This client sells apparel with custom logos and wanted a secure site for corporate clients. Each corporate client has numerous locations and each location has certain products, in certain colors that are allowed to be ordered. Furthermore, quantity order limitations needed to be invoked.
WA State Farmers Markets
Designer: Yakindo Web Design
This non-profit organization wanted a way for member markets to register, update market information and pay dues online. The member database allows markets to change the information that appears on the directory map. It also "turns off" those members who haven't paid so they don't show on the map or listing.
